Carlos.... No doubt the daughters were found on the 1830 Bond Co, IL census. It indicates two daughters that I did not list. One of these would have been Elizabeth and the other would have been Mary. Notice that there is also one daughter at age 0-5, and I have heard no mention of her in anyones records (other than mine).

For those that was wondering about Sidney Ann, I still don't know how I came about the name and date of birth. However, she does fit the census.
Jacob McClain and John McClain were listed as head of househods on their owen census records, just above that of James.
As for the difference in James and Rebecca's age, it is possible that the month of the census record would put them in different age groups even though they were born in the same year. Just a thought.
According to ages and dates of birth, there is a possibility of daughters before Elizabeth, born between 1800 and 1805. The sons are all accounted for, but it would leave 2 daughtes missing that no doubt had already married by the time of the 1830 census. (considering that there were 5 sons and 5 daughters)
Listed between John and James on the Census was Mary Borracan. Since the families were all to gether, I wondered if she was related.... She was 40-50 years old, had a daughter 10 to 15 and as son 15 to 20 years old.
I still have to go over all the notes I received last night. There are a lot of entries that I have to make and a few I have to correct.

Your Bond Co Census returns came from the 1830 (not 1840) Bond Co., IL, returns submitted for certification on 26 Nov 1830. I didn't have any daughters noted for John, however - just John & his wife. I also had James Sr in the 30-40 range instead of 50-60. I can't find my original notes - just where I'd transcribed it onto my computer. Will need to go back & verify the entries. I feel sure this is the James, Jacob & John of our family however. I made this entry in my family notes: "Bond Co., IL, was formed from area ceded by the Indians and was initially adjacent to Jefferson Co., Later subdivisions formed the counties of Bond, Fayette, Marion, and Jefferson. It's known that the McClain's were in Illinois as early as 1833 when David married Minerva in Marion Co., followed by Joe & Sarah in 1836. Although there are some discrepancies, it would appear that this is our McClain family. James McClain, John McClain, and Jacob McClain are on the same page. James and Jacob are together again on the 1840 Census but John isn't. Pending further verification, I'll make the assumption Jacob and John are the sons of James. The ages posted for the oldest male and female in the family listed for James McClain aren't correct, but the other info tends to support the assumption....While James' age is close (i.e. 49), it's hard to determine where Rebecca falls as she and James were close to the same age. It also leads to the assumption that there was another son (born 1825-1830) and, either 2 daughters and mother/mother-in-law, or 3 daughters and a mistake in entry for Rebecca's age. These previously unknown children may have died or been married and out of the household by later censuses." I also made the assumption that John McClain had died by the 1840 Census. James & family has moved into Jefferson Co., IL, by the 1840 census - Jefferson Co., IL - Submitted for certification on 23 Oct 1840. pg 304. pg 309 Jacob McLean - 2 2 0 0 0 1/0 0 0 0 0 1. (Jacob's 3 daughters listed in the 1830 Census appear to have either died or married & left the household)
