AUNT
AMANDA SULLIVAN December 1936
Aunt
Amanda
Sullivan died 4th December 1936 at the home of her
son, Lyman
Sullivan, of Hiram, MO.
Born 21st
January 1867, she was married the 20th August 1887 to T. C.
Sullivan and had nine children, six of which preceded her in death.
Her husband, known as
“Uncle Buck” died 5th April 1932.
Surviving are THREE children:
Mrs. Frankie GOLDEN of Hiram,
Mrs. George F. WARD, of Clubb, MO
and LYMAN Sullivan of Hiram.
Six grandchildren living, one dec’d; three
great-grandchildren. Three
sisters: Mrs. Elizabeth
[Judson L.] LEACH and Mrs. Lydia
[Wm C.] DAVIS, both of Silva; and
Mrs. Adalee Sullivan [Alfred
R.] of Wagoner, Oklahoma. Two
brothers: Frank
WHITE of Clubb and “Major”
WHITE of Greenville. Note: “Mandy” was a d/o Murphy White, 1830-1887 & Cassie (White) White,

AMEY EVA (ATNIP) WHITE Thursday
– February 11th 1937
Mrs. Amey “Eva” White, born 30th
May 1864 and died 07th February 1937.
She was reared to womanhood in the Bounds Creek Community and married
George Murphy WHITE, on the 14th of April 1883, who
preceded her in death some 20 years ago. [1913]
The
deceased departed this life at the home of Wesley
KINDER, the spouse of their daughter, Nettie Jane.
She was buried next to her husband at the New Prospect Cemetery,
near Silva, MO.
Surviving are:
5 children, Mrs. Lapolian [Ida] Medlin;
Mrs. Wesley [Nettie] Kinder;
Harrison, Franklin and Ed White, all residing in New Madrid County; one
brother, John H. ATNIP of Piedmont; twenty-one grandchildren and ten
great-grandchildren. Note:
Amey
was the d/o Bethaven 1829-1867,and Matilda Meador, 1836-1872. She was
known as “Aunt Ever.” Geo.
Murphy White, was s/o James, 1814-1866 & Elizabeth Ellington White. 1937

– 18th February 1937
Mrs. Lulu White Dunn, daughter of Rev. John White
of Kime, died Monday afternoon at the State Hospital in Farmington where
she had been a patient. Services
were conducted in that city with interment in the local cemetery.
Relatives include the father and several siblings. Note:
[Lulu, b. abt. 1901, was the w/o Everett Dunn & d/o Rev.
John W. White, 1869-1951 & Julia Lucretia Shearrer,
1875-1936. Her living
siblings in 1937 were: Mrs. Margaret Clubb; LeeRoy & Willard
White; Mrs. Dolah Page; Leonard; Mrs. Clara Mabrey; and Iva
(White) Bradley-Engle-Thead-Williams]. Dwc
MARTHA
E. PATTERSON -MAY
1937-
Martha
E. (Settle) Patterson, widow of the late George Patterson died
Tuesday 25th May 1937 at Greenville.
She was born 28th
September 1860, a daughter of Edward P. and Helen Settle.
Mrs. Patterson was united in marriage with George R. Patterson on
the 27th March 1887.
Burial was in the Patterson
Cemetery with Rev. S. D. Bohnenkamp, Methodist minister officiated.
She leaves the following relatives:
Lucy A. Wilkinson of
Memphis, TN; Annie H. Barrow of
Greenville, both were her sisters. Brothers: Wm. A. and
Frank Settle of Greenville & H.
C. Settle of Williamsville
and Charles E. Settle of
Powhatan, LA. CLINT HARRIS Thursday
– 01, July 1937 -
Clint Harris, age 50, died Thursday July 1st 1937,
survived by his wife, Stella, who is a sister to Mrs. R. J. SMITH of
Fredericktown; a daughter,
Mrs. Mabel SHERIDAN of St. Louis and five sons: William; Roger; Lyman; Willis and James Harris and many other
relatives. Services were held
at Williamsville with burial in the Williamsville
Cemetery. CARL
FRANKLIN WHITE -
1937 -
Carl Franklin White was born near Brunot, October 22nd
1907 and died at Kansas City, MO October 14th 1937 at the age
of 29 years 11 months and 14 days.
He leaves to mourn his passing his father and step-mother, Mr. and
Mrs. Elias White of Brunot; two brothers:
Herbert White of Elvins and Orla White, Brunot; three
half-brothers: James,
Talmond and Bill White of Brunot and one half-sister: Cora White of Chillicothe, MO.
Also surviving are many other relatives and his grandmother, Mrs Rachel
GOAD of Mill Creek. He
was preceded in death by his mother and four sisters.
Funeral Services were conducted by Rev. Sam Reeves at Beulah
Baptist Church near Brunot. Interment was in the adjacent cemetery beside his mother and
4 sisters. Note:
Carl was a grandson of Jas. “Henry” White & his 1st
wife, Sarah (Wakefield). Carl’s father, Elias B. White, b. 5th
Dec 1870 m. (1) Arthula Goad, 30th May 1895
& there’s a
marriage record for E. B. White to Mary Lou Stobbs, 27th Dec
1916 in Wayne County. Dwc
