Daily American Republic, Poplar Bluff, MO Tuesday, August 25, 1964 William Elder, Local Resident, Dies at Campbell William Westley Elder, 76 year old local resident, died yesterday morning at the Campbell, Mo., Rest Home. He had lived at 208 N. “B” Street here. He was born in Wayne County on March 6, 1888. He was a member of the True Church of God. Surviving him are two daugh- ters, Mrs. Gertie Batten of Ann Arbor, Mich., and Mrs. Bessie Pilcher of Poplar Bluff; five sisters, Mrs. Eddie Griffith of Poplar Bluff, Mrs. Katie Marler of Senath, Mrs. Myrtle Nice- wonger of Neelyville, Mrs. Bertha Davis of Thomasville, MO., and Mrs. Blanch Laton of Mountain View, Mo.; seven grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held tomorrow afternoon at 2 at the Kime Church near Greeville, the Rev. J. C. White officiating. Bur- ial in the Central Ridge Ceme- tery.
