Hennyson, John, Hartford. Will dated 17 May, 1687. I John Hannyson of Hartford, Husbandman, doe make and ordain this my last Will & Testament: Item. I give to my wife Martha Hannyson all my Real & Personal Estate now in my hands and possession or any way belonging or appertaining to me, to have and to hold the same during her natural life, or otherwise to be disposed of by her to my Children how or when she shall see Cause before her decease, with the Consent and Approbation of my Overseers. And if my sd. wife shall keep the Approbation ye aforesd. Estate during her life, that then, at her decease, no bargain, sale or Instrument whatsoever shall alienate ye same from my Childn. My Will is that all my Just Debts be paid (to whome I am indebted) by my wife, who I hereby make and constitute my sole Executrix, & desire Ensign Jonathan Bull and Samuel Steele may by Overseers.

Name was shortened by some family membert to Hanson.  His wife and son James used the name Handerson (Henderson).

In 1663 he moved from Springfield, Hampden, MA to Haddam, Middlesex, CT.

Handerson, Martha, Hartford. Invt. 16-09-06. Taken 30 February, 1711-1712, by Edward Allyn and Joseph Hopkins. Will dated 22 September, 1699.
I, Martha Handerson, of Hartford, do make this my last will and testament: I give to my son James Handerson my house and house lot where I now dwell, and my land in ye Neck, all my lands in Hartford that I now stand possessed of, to be to him ye sayd James Handerson and his heirs forever. My will is that my son shall not sell nor alienate ye house of house lot herein given him until he attain the age of twenty-one years or more. But ye land in ye meadow I desire he will well as soon as possible hee can, to pay Mrs. Wilson a debt I owe her. The looms and all the tackling to be to my son James Handerson. In case my son James shall not live to attain the age of 21 years, then I give my sd. house and home lot to my three daughters, namely, Miriam Orvice, Mary Wricht and Sarah Handerson, to be divided equally; always provided, my will is, that if my daughter Mary Wright does not come and dwell, makeing her settled abode within this Collony within the time abovesaid, then neither she nor her heirs to receive any partt in my house and land as expressed, but to be equally divided between my other two daughters, Miriam Orvice and Sarah Handerson, and their heirs forever. I will that my son James Handerson pay each of his sisters, namely Elizabeth Hadlock, Miriam Orvice and Mary Wright, 5 shilings. They have received considerable already. I appoint my son James Handerson executor.

Court Record, Page 54 - 5 February, 1711-12: sarah Handerson of Farmington cited to appear and take Adms., James Handerson having refused the executorship.
Page 64 - 7 May, 1713: This Court now grant Adms. unto Capt. Cyprian Nickolls and James Ensign of Hartford, William Harris neglecting to take out letters of Adms.

2. JAMES (HANNISON)2 HENDERSON (JOHN (HADDAM FOUNDER&EARLY HARTFORD)1 HANNISON) was born 1679 in Haddam, Middlesex, CT, and died 1745 in Hartford, Hartford, CT. He married MEHETABLE GRAVES January 01, 1700/01, daughter of John Graves and Susannah Webster.

He married SARAH BAKER August 04, 1740 in Northampton, Hampshire, MA, daughter of John Baker and Rebecca Clark.
