WILLIAM REED, ESQ.

William Reed Esq., died at his residence in Lancaster District, after a very painful and protracted illness on the 3d Aug. aged about 74 years. For a number of years he represented his District in the State Legislature. He, also, filled efficiently and acceptably various other offices, civil, and military. At the time of his death, he was President of the Waxhaw Bible Society. [eulogy] Due West Telescope please copy. (Ibid.)

Died in Lancasterville on the 16th inst., Rebecca Louisa, infant daughter of Thos. S. and Sallie L. Riddle, aged 7 months and 21 days. (October 21, 1857)

Departed this life at Warrenton Post Office, Abbeville Dist., S. C., on the 27th inst., Mrs. Mary Ruey, in the 32d year of her age, a native of Waxhaw, Lancaster Dist., S. C., leaving a husband and four children.
