Accident 11 Days Ago May Have Been Factor

Head injuries he suffered 11 days ago are believed to have been a possible
factor in the death Tuesday afternoon, of William T. Dudley, 47, of 5023 South
Yakima avenue, who succumbed a short time after he was stricken with a heart
attack.
The Tacoma, a driver for the Pacific Highway Transport Co.. was reported to have
been unloading a truck at the Auto Freight Depot, 523 Puyallup avenue, at the
time he became suddenly ill. He was rushed in a private ambulance to a local
hospital but lived only a short time.
On Saturday afternoon, August 21, Mr. Dudley suffered a severe fall from a truck
at the Auto Freight Depot and was believed to have suffered skull injuries when
examined by surgeons at the Pierce County hospital. Attendants said Mr. Dudley
at that time had insisted his injuries were not serious and had declined to
remain in the hospital for care.
Mr. Dudley was a member of the Eagles Lodge. He is survived by his wife,
Lucille, and by one son, William E. Dudley, both of Tacoma. Funeral announcement
will be made later by Tuell's.
