Prosperio D. Jimenez, 75, of Riverbank died Sunday at Oak Valley Care Center, Oakdale. Mr. Jimenez was a native of Arizona. He had lived in Riverbank since infancy. He was a laborer and employed at Contadina 48 years; he was a member of Teamsters union Local 748, Modesto. He was a member of St. Frances of Rome Catholic Church, Riverbank. He served in the Army during World War II. He is survived by his wife, Maria Jimenez of Riverbank; children, Yolanda Huntley of Riverbank and Gilbert Jimenez of Modesto; brothers, Steven Jimenez of Riverbank, Felix Jimenez Jr., Frank Jimenez, Efren Jimenez and Louis Jimenez, all of Modesto, and Rotalo Jimenez of Washington; sisters Victoria Van Buren of Stockton and Margaret Tapia of Tracy; and two grandchildren. The rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. today at Riverbank Memorial Chapel, Riverbank. A Mass will be said at 9 a.m. Thursday at St. Frances of Rome Catholic Church, Riverbank. Burial will follow at St. Stanislaus Cemetery, Modesto. Visitation will be from 1 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at the chapel.
