SUDDEN DEATH OF BOY AT PUYALLUP Melvin Sinnex, Twelve Years Old, Popular at School
PUYALLUP, Nov. 3 -- Melvin Sinnex, son of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Sinnex, died this morning at the home of Mr. and Mrs. E. W. Sinnex at the Lone Cedar Farm.
The boy, who was 12 years old, had been sick but one week and death came unexpectedly today.
Melvin was a member of the Junior high school and was a favorite among his little school friends.
He is survived by his mother and father, Thomas Sinnex and Ella Sinnex, by two brothers, Ruben Sinnex and Ford Sinnex of Seattle, two sisters, Ruth Hesse & Joyce Hesse of Tacoma, Fern Sinnex of Puyallup, and Mrs. William Wilcox of Puyallup.
Funeral arrangements will not be announced until today. The body is a Spurr & Dunlap's.
It is reported that the home of Mr. and Mrs.William Wilcox is at the present time quarantined for diptheria. Local doctors are making every effort to check the epidemic of diptheria in this city. The schools have been fumigated and the school nurse is daily examining students. The death of Melvin Sinnex, 12 year old son of Mr. & Mrs. Thomas Sinnex, makes the second death with the disease.
