Mrs. Alkire, 72, called Friday At Her Home.
Services Held at her Home with Dr. Whiting in Charge.

Anna Mary Alexander was born at Port Royal, Pennsylvania, April 13, 1864. She moved with her parents to Peoria County, Ill., at the age of 4 years.

She was married December 2, 1902 to Jacob Alkire. To this union was born two children; Nathan, with whom she made her home and Iva of Des Moines.

Mr. and Mrs. Alkire moved to Brighton in 1916 and have made their home in this community ever since.

Mr. Alkire preceded her in death in September 1926. Mrs. Alkire who had been in good health until recently suffered a stroke on Thursday which was the cause of her death Friday, February 5.

She leaves one sister Mrs. Ella Quinn of Farmington, Ill., and her two children to mourn her death.

Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at 2 p.m. at the home of Dr. Whiting of the Presbyterian church in charge. Burial was in Hill crest cemetery.
