ANTHONY FRAIN PASSES AWAY

Anthony Frain passed away Saturday evening after a six months battle for life with heart trouble. Mr. Frain was first taken seriously ill last March and his life had been despairel of most of the time since altho he had apparently improved a few weeks ago and was able to come up town with the aid of crutches. A few days after he was again taken worse and death followed, due to leakage of the heart.

Anthony M. F. Frain, son of James and Lucy Tinder Frain, was born in Jackson county, Indiana, Jan. 27, 1850, but came to Washington County, Iowa, with his parents who settled near Dublin in 1854. For a few years in his young manhood he lived in Audubon county, but practically his entire life has been spent in this community. He moved from the farm in Franklin township to Brighton in 1906 and has made this his home since.

Mr. Frain was married to Miss Jennie Alkire in the year 1875 and became the parents of four children, three of whom survive him. They are Mrs. Sadie Gordon of Kirksville, Mo., and Joe and Katie at home.

Funeral services were held from the residence Monday with burial in Brighton Hill Crest cemetery.
