Elisha W. Sinex August 1887 New Albany, Indiana
Elisha W. Sinex, aged 58 years, died yesterday afternoon at 4 o'clock, at his home near Farrabee Station, Washington county, after a protracted illness. The remains were brought to this city this morning and taken to the residence of William Sinex, East Main street, and the funeral will take place tomorrow forenoon at 10 o'clock

All members of New Albany Lodge No. 1 I.O.O.F. are requested to meet at their hall on Saturday, August 6, at 9 a.m. for the purpose of attending the funeral of our deceased brother, E. W. Sinex. members of sister lodges in good standing are cordially invited to attend. By order:

Mrs. Caroline Kerns Sinex Tuesday Evening, October 10, 1903 New Albany Daily Ledger
Mrs. Caroline Kerns Sinex, widow of E. W. Sinex, died this Tuesday morning at 8 o'clock at the residence of her daughter, Mrs. Maria Walker, corner of Beharrell avenue and Spring street, aged seventy years six months and twenty-six days. Deceased was born and passed her entire life in Indiana. She was known to many of the citizens of New Albany and Salem, and was a woman of Christian life and example, being a devoted member of the M. E. Church, and holding her membership in Weir Memorial M. E. church at Salem. Five children survive her. They are Mrs. Maria Walker, of this city; Mrs. Lizzie White and Mrs. Flora Rodman of Washington county; Elisha Sinex of Wisconsin and Thomas Sinex of Washington County. The funeral will take place Thursday from the residence of her daughter, Mrs. Walker, the Rev. W. G. Clinton and the Rev. Dr. Thomas Beharrell conducting the religious services.
