This report gives a brief rundown on Walter Scott, Loyalist, born about 1745 in Ireland. Walter married Mary ? before 1765, probably in Ireland, and they came to America "two years after the French War". They settled in Stillwater, now Saratoga County, New York until 1776/7 when he and his family, including two of his married sons, took refuge with the British troop marching through that area and followed them up into Canada.
Sometime after 1781, when they were quartered in Montreal, and before May 1790,
they removed to Christie's Manor, Quebec where they stayed.
