     Bruce Winifred Worthen was born on 3 June 1907 at North Head, Grand Manan, Charlotte Co, New Brunswick.1 He was the son of William Sydney Worthen and Addie Loretta Stanley. Bruce Winifred Worthen died on 22 February 1954 at North Head, Grand Manan, Charlotte Co, New Brunswick, at age 46; The following obituary was published March 19, 1955 in the Quoddy Tides Paper:

BRUCE WORTHEN DEAD: The death of Bruce Winifred Worthen, 46, of North Head occurred recently. He had many friends at Grand Manan and elsewhere who will regret his passing. He was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Sydney Worthen and was born at North Head. Besides his parents, he is survived by three brothers, Earl, North Head; Joseph, Halifax; and Douglas, Danvers, Mass. The funeral which was attended by many was held at North Head. Rev. A. A. T. Northrup, rector of the Episcopal parish at Grand Manan conducted the service. The pall-bearers were D. K. Morse, Charles Parker, Addison Naves, and Ralph Griffin. Internment was in the North Head Cemetery. Among those who attended the funeral from away were Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Worthen, Halifax, and Mr. and Mrs. Douglas Worthen, Danvers, Mass.

Marjorie Worthe Lutes had given Heather Waddington the information that Bruce had suffered from epilepsy and died after suffering a seizure at home.1
