Edward Howard was born circa 1696 at Dartmouth, Bristol Co, Massachusetts. He married Sarah (?).
It appears that Edward Howard lived in Dartmouth, MA, then perhaps Newport, RI, as well as Tiverton and Little Compton, RI. On 26 Aug 1746, Edward and Sarah Howard conveyed their homestead farm to William Hall. They must have moved shortly after this sale to Dutchess County, NY as he was named as Edward Howard, late of Tiverton on a deed dated 28 March 1748.
Additional children were probably born to Edward and Sarah Howard after they removed to Dutchess County, New York, although no records can be located to that affect. One source, "The Comm Record of Dutchess County" says Edward was a Quaker from RI, rather than from Massachusetts and that he built a cabin near a spring. In a Dartmouth deed in the 1750's Edward is said to be "of Pakipset in Crum Elbow", obvioulsy Dutchess County, NY. No death record has been found for either Edward Howard or his wife Sarah.1
