     James Tallman was born on 29 November 1842 at Hemmingford, Huntingdon Co, Quebec. He was born in May 1842 at Canada.1 He was the son of Dexter Tallman and Hannah Jeandreau. James Tallman married Jane Hewitt on 14 March 1864 at Mooers Forks, Clinton Co, New York. James Tallman was buried between 1920 and 1930 at Union Cemetery, Mooers Forks, Clinton Co, New York.2
     James Tallman immigrated in 1844 to New York.1 He appeared on the census of 26 July 1870 at Mooers, Clinton Co, New York.3 He appeared on the census of 25 June 1880 at Mooers, Clinton Co, New York.4 He appeared on the census of 6 July 1900 at Malone, Franklin Co, New York; James Tallman, 48, born Canada, Jane, 56, born Canada, married 36 years; they had three children, with two still living. Walter Brown, 5, grandson with also with them.5 He appeared on the census of 1920 at Cheshire, Berkshire Co, Massachusetts; James "Tolman", 77, was living with his daughter and her husband, George Pelkie.2
