MOSES EASON was born 1803 in Johnston County and died 1853 in Union County, NC (Source: Faulks Baptist Church Charter and Membership Records.).He married Hannah Rodgers. Birth and death information acquired by 1850 and 1860 Union County, NC Census information. Moses and Hannah are listed on Faulks Baptist Church Charter Membership List on July 1851. Moses last shows up on the church records on September 1852. When the church membership rolls are again recorded in 1857, he is no longer listed. His wife Hannah, along with other family members are still listed, and he does not appear in the 1860 Union County Census, so it is presumed that he has passed away at this time.

ALFRED EASON, b. 1838, Union County, NC. Alfred enlisted in the Civil War on August 17, 1861 as a Private. He was in Company B, 26th Regiment. He was present or accounted for until he was wounded and captured at or near Gettysburg, Pennsylvania around July 1-5, 1863. He was hospitalized at Gettysburg until he was transferred to Davids Island, New York Harbor,July 17-24, 1863. There he was paroled and transferred to City Point,Virginia, where he was received in an exchange on September 16, 1863. He returned to duty in January or February 1864. In May/June,he again was reported missing and wounded. He was found in a Richmond, Virginia hospital with a gunshot wound to his left ankle. He returned to duty in November/December 1864 and was promoted to Corporal. He was released from all duty when paroled at Appomattox Court House, Virginia April 9,1865.
