[Notice that there is a overlap of ages in the male listing 16 to 18 and 16 to 26. It is known that many census takers listed individuals twice because of this. I am assuming that this is the case here. Ken Eason][This would mean that Elijah and Nelly had 4 sons and 2 daughters.
Union County Deed Book 1, pages 322-323, March 12, 1846. Moses Eason, John Eason and Sarah Eason to Richard Rogers. This was January term of Court of Pleas & Quarter Sessions: Moses, John and Sarah sold to Richard Rogers for $80 a 122.5 acre tract on the east side of Flag Branch. In Deed Book 1, page 323, Moses Eason, John Eason, Richard Rodgers & Wife Polly to Sarah Eason: This indenture made this 29th day of October in the year 1845 between Moses Eason, John Eason, and Richard Rogers and wife, Polly, of the County of Union, State of North Carolina, and Sarah Eason of the same. For the sum of $100 Moses, John, Richard & Polly sold to Sarah Eason a certain parcel of land whereon the WIDOW of the late ELIJAH EASON and the said Sarah now resides on....containing 150 acres to have and to hold to her the said Sarah Eason her heirs executors or assigns with the following EXCEPTION that HER MOTHER NELLY EASON is to live there and make it her home if she wishes during her lifetime ....the said Moses Eason, John Eason, Richard Rogers and wife Polly AS LAWFUL HEIRS OF ELIJAH EASON.
Elijah married Nelly ULN. Nelly was born 1 in 1770. She died in 1850.
They had the following children.
+ 2 F i Mary "Polly" Eason was born about 1798. 3 M ii Elijah Eason , Jr. was born in From 1794 to 1802. He died before 1845.
Last mention of Elijah Eason, Jr. I can find is in "Solomon Simons Store Ledger. A purchase was made by him on August 19, 1831 where he purchased a fur hat. Moses Eason also purchased a fur hat at the same time. Elijah Eason, Jr. also made a purchase on September 7, 1831. [Solomon Simons Store Ledger is in the Union County Heritage Room in Monroe, Union County, NC]
4 M iii Benjamin Eason was born in From 1804 to 1810. He died before 1845.
In the first Union County Tax listing in 1842, Anson side 4 Eason's are listed:

From the following deed abstract, it appears that Moses Eason, John S. Eason and Sarah Eason were joint heirs of the property previsouly owned by Benjamin Eason. [Mary "Polly" Eason Rogers, their sister and wife to Richard Rogers owned the other portion.]

March 25, 1846: Moses Eason, John S. Eason and Sarah Eason all of the county of Union, State of North Carolina, for the sum of $40 sold to Richard Rogers of said county all their right, title, claim or interest in a tract containing 36 acres on Baucom hill adjoining the land of Richard Rogers, Moses Eason, John S. Eason, Shephard Rogers, and being part of a tract formerly owned by Benjamin Eason, Decd. Signed on the 14th day of September 1845 by Moses Eason, John S. Eason, Sarah Eason in the presence of Thos. July 23, 1847: Richard Rogers and Polly his wife, John S Eason and Sarah Eason all of the County of Union and State of North Carolina for the sum of $40 sold to Moses Eason of said county and state a parcel of land containing 21 1/2 acres lying on both sides of Flag branch adjoining Moses Easons own corner, Shepherd Rogers, John S. Eason and being a part of a tract formerly owned by Benjamin Eason, Decd. Signed the 4th day of September 1845 by Richard Rogers, John S. Eason, Polly Rogers and Sarah Eason in the presence of Thos. G. Fifer and Oliver Rogers.
D. A. Covington privately examined Polly Rogers, wife of Richard Rogers, who stated her voluntary assent of the foregoing deed. Signed D. A. Covington on the 8th day of July 1847.
