Washington Parish Virtual Cemetery Map and Digest Freepages RootsWeb M. Zenner http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~washingtonparish/c.htm Referencing File: c.htm USGS http://geonames.usgs.gov/pls/gnispublic/ Search Terms: Louisiana, Cemeteries, Washington Parish, Curter Curter Cemetery per USGS is likely Issac Cutrer Cemetery and is misspelled or has a spelling variant and place name variant under USGS - See Southern Engineering Map, Washington Parish, Louisiana, Louisiana GIS CD, and RootsWeb - USGenWeb file for Ott Cemetery, Mount Hermon,LA. Also the cemetery may be under a different local name as some local names are not found on USGS. Washington Parish at one time encompassed parts of Tangipahoa Parish. The last Cutrer cemetery file at address, 75374 North River Road, can be Googled and is less than .2 miles from the second Cutrer Tangipahoa Parish file on 16114 Cut Off Road. It is located just outside of Kentwood and West of Mount Hermon, LA. Google maps search was specific and "Cut Off Road" must be searched as quoted. In attempting to find the first Cutrer Cemetery and failing, Google finds Populis Road 13 miles South of these two locations. All three Cutrer Tangipahoa Parish Archive files are different cemeteries based on their transcriptions. The last two Cutrer cemeteries are likely the location referenced for Charles Ott's interrment. Historically, Washington Parish extended further West into what is now Tangipahoa Parish, but prior to 1869 Tangipahoa was St. Helena Parish.
