Vital Records

The Washington County Government Center has

information on births, deaths, marriages (1870-present)
 and amendments to death records. There are fees to get copies
(ex. marriage records are $9).

The Stillwater License Center has birth certificates for those born after 1935.
The cost of a certified copy is $13.00 and each additional certified
copy for the same birth is $7.00. An uncertified copy for a
birth certificate is $10.00. The requester will be asked to show
ID and complete an application form for the birth certificate and the
requester must have tangible interest to obtain certified copies.

 It is extremely helpful for me if included in your list of lookups for death and birth certificates is the CERTIFICATE ID #.

This can be obtained from the MNHS website here.  When you look up a person you will get the ID in the form of YEAR-MN-#####.

Just give me the year and ID, (ex. 1973-16543).

Copies of death certificates and obituaries are $0.35 each.  Birth certificates are $2.00 each.  Anything else, please ask.

Note:  I will usually wait until I have a large list of lookups from several people, this way the cost of parking and gas will be divided between each person.
