Thomas son of John Wash, Sr. and Nancy Frasier Gatewood was born unknown. He married Lucy Farish in Barren Co., Kentucky on July 1, 1813 and to them were born the following children, Albert, Lucien, Lucy and Francis. Thomas died 1829 in Cumberland Co., Kentucky.
I Thomas Wash of Cumberland County and state of Kentucky, do hereby make and ordaine, this my last will and Testament. In manner and form following. That is to say. First after they payments of all my Just Debts and Funeral Expenses it is my will that my Beloved wife Lucy Wash have one third of the benefit of my estate, both real and personal for and during the tim of her natural life and at her death to dispose of the same as she may think proper. However provided She may marry and have no heir. In that case I wish the property Immediatety to revert back to my two sons Albert and Lucian Wash, and the Balance of my estate both real and personal to be equally divided between my two sons should depart this life without an heir, in that case it is my will that the whole of the Estate left for the two go to the one living. Thirdly It is my will that my estate be all kept together, and no division of any kind to take place, so long as my wife Lucy Wash shall remain a widow or my sons become of age so that the necepity of the requires it. Fourthly I wish my executors or a majority of them to have the liberty of renting out my lands and hiring out my negroes, and to sell and dispose of any loose or perishable properity in any way that they may think most proper and benefiaral for the advancement of my wife and children. Fifthly, I wish my executors to pay strict attention to the schooling and education of my children in such way as they may think corresponding with their incomes. Fifthly and last, I do hereby constitute and appoint my beloved wife Lucy Wash, Francis Murphey, Renbin Alexander, and James Ritchey executors of this my last will and testament hereby revoking all other former wills or testaments by me and heretofore made. In witness where of I have here unto set my hand and seal this 9th day of January 1829.

Kentucky Cumberland County, sct, Milton King Clerk of the County Court for said County Court that the writhin last will and testament of Thomas Wash dec'd was produced in open court at the present February Term 1829 proved by the oaths of Jos. Alexander and John L. Nunn the two subscribing ?????? thereto and ordered to be recorded which is truly copied of record in will book B page 576. Given under my hand this 24th day of February 1829.
