Hi, I am a Granddaughter of Leslie Manifee Henderson and Leahlea Marie Brown. I came across your web site while doing research on my Grandparents for our geneology.

There are 4 children not mentioned in your listing one of which is my Father Darrell Eugene Henderson. They are as follows Leslie Jr. Henderson born Jun 7, 1924 in Belle Fourche, SD, Elma Leahlea Henderson born Feb. 7, 1926 in Arpan, SD, Norman Lynn Henderson born Jan 22, 1930 in Fruitdale, SD, and Darrell Eugene Henderson born July 24, 1933 in Belle Fourche, SD. Of these last four children only my Dad Darrell and my Aunt Elma are still living. I am not sure of the date of death for Leslie or Norman. Also with regard to your listing for Esther Ameta Henderson her name was Esther Almeta Henderson. Of the first four children all went by their middle names such as Anna instead of Myrtle, Alta (who is still living) instead of Noma, Emerson instead of Thomas, and Almeta instead of Esther.

Andrew Henderson went further north on the Creek at Poplar Flats and was in the 1790 census of Mason County. He and his wife, Sarah, were the organizers of the present Ebeneezer Church on East Fork of Cabin Creek. The censuses show their sons having been born in the Pennsylvania area

Of the two brothers that settled Lewis County, Thomas Henderson moved into the Happy Hollow section of the Cabin Creek area in 1799 and was one of the originators of the Bethel Church.
