1. John (Emigrant)¹ Armstrong was born in 1776 at Byton, County Derham, England. He married Cynthia Spillman. He died on 23 May 1831 at Culpeper, VA. He was buried in 1831 at "Armstrong Cemetery" Rixeyville, Culpeper, Route 229, across street from 16132 Sneads Mt. Rd. He lived in 1815 at Culpeper, Jefferson, 12N.
Cynthia Spillman was born on 23 Jun 1786. She died on 12 Mar 1828 at Culpeper, VA, at age 41. She was buried at "Armstrong Cemetary" Rixeyville, Route 229.

2. Thomas Conway² Armstrong (John¹) was born on 25 Jul 1809. He married Sarah Ann E. Button, daughter of Frederick Button and Catherine Wayman, on 21 Jun 1841 Culpeper, VA. He died on 22 Feb 1862 at age 52. He was buried at Jeffersonton, Culpeper, VA.
He lived at "Solitude" NW of Culpeper, see LVA.
Sarah Ann E. Button was born on 2 Sep 1817. She died on 28 Dec 1909 at age 92. She was buried at Jeffersonton, Culpeper, VA. Census 1880 VA, Culpeper, Jeffersonton, living with son Millard. She appeared on the census of 1900 at Living with son Andrew Judson.

•     4  i.   Cynthia Catherine³ Armstrong was born on 30 Mar 1842 at VA. She married J. J. Wayman on 12 Jan 1868. She died on 3 Jan 1870 at age 27.


• +  5  ii.   Andrew Judson Armstrong was born on 4 Dec 1844. He married Loula Tyree on 1 Jun 1882.


• +  6  iii.   Sallie Ann Armstrong was born on 1 Dec 1847. She married John Edward Bywaters on 17 Oct 1867.


• +  7  iv.   Millard Button Armstrong was born on 29 Jun 1855. He married Ella B. Parr on 15 Jan 1873.

3. John Spilman² Armstrong (John¹) was born on 12 Oct 1811. He married Sarah Jane Settle, daughter of Edward Settle and Lucy Fishback, on 19 Nov 1834 Culpeper, VA. He died on 2 Nov 1889 at Rose Hill, VA, at age 78. He was buried at Jeffersonton Baptist Church, photo.

5. Andrew Judson³ Armstrong (Thomas², John¹) was born on 4 Dec 1844. He married Loula Tyree on 1 Jun 1882. He died on 26 Nov 1925 at age 80.
He appeared on the census of 1900 at VA Culpeper, Catalpa.

6. Sallie Ann³ Armstrong (Thomas², John¹) was born on 1 Dec 1847. She married John Edward Bywaters on 17 Oct 1867.
John Edward Bywaters died on 3 Nov 1924. He lived in 1879 at inherited "Solitude."

•     14  i.   Conway Richard⁴ Bywaters was born on 18 Sep 1868.

7. Millard Button³ Armstrong (Thomas², John¹) was born on 29 Jun 1855. He married Ella B. Parr on 15 Jan 1873. He died on 9 Jun 1930 at age 74.
