This is the personal website of Raymond (Ray) Warburton. To
support my June 2006 launch of a Warburton Surname DNA Project at DNA
Heritage I have redeveloped the site to promote and support that project. To
that end the site will:
·Present the objectives of the project and
reasons why male Warburtons might wish to participate.
·Provide a guide to more detailed
information on the role of DNA testing in genealogy and the study of deep
ancestry.
·Provide guidance on project participation.
The project is hosted on the DNA Heritage site, which administers testing and
the distribution of results.
·Provide summaries and interpretations of
the study’s findings while adhering to this site’s privacy
policy. This will be done via periodic newsletters emailed to participants
and posted on this site.
·Provide information on my own genealogical
researches.
·Provide access to me via email for
questions and clarifications on the project, the supporting science (as far as
I, as a layman, understand it), or anything else on this website.
I do not intend to provide a discussion board on this site.
I have set up a discussion board for the project on Ybase.
There are also Warburton specific discussion boards on Ancestry.
Rootsweb,
and Genealogy.com. I
intend to post occasional notes on these, and any others I find, to help to
promote the project and attract potential participants.
As this is my personal website I reserve the right to place
here other material, not related to the Surname Project, though I will ensure it
is kept separate.
