I am interested in information on William Farris Families to include: Wife's name; Children's names; Parents' names; and siblings' names. ÊIn the 1790 North Carolina Census there are 3 William FarrisÕ with spelling variations to include: William Farriss of Rutherford County; William Farris of Dobbs County; and William Farris of Beaufort County.
I am searching for information on Levi [Kelly - nickname according to his wife] Farris/Fearis/Ferris/Fearris to include his parents, siblings, relation to Champion Farris, relation to Davidson Farris and the name of his unknown daughter.Ê I would also be interested in information on Margaret Nunley Farris. ÊLevi was born between 1790 and 1800 if the census records of 1830 were correct in Virginia or North Carolina. ÊAnother record shows a Levi's birth in1785.Ê Levi served in Company M [Captain James Tate's Company from Warren County] of Colonel Stephen CopelandÕs Regiment of General Thomas Johnston's Brigade of the West Tennessee Militia Infantry during the lesser Creek Indian War which is often considered by historians as part of the War of 1812. ÊLevi was discharged as a Sergeant. Levi married Margaret Nunley in Warren County on 1 February 1811 and they were married there by Jonathan Farris, Justice of the Peace.Ê He died on 1 Sept. 1832 in McNairy County TN and is buried in McNairy County TN.Ê Levi and Margaret had 7 children to include: Overton Louis, Commadore, Carroll, Mahala [Mahalia], Nisa, Salina and an unnamed daughter.
Ê
My records of Levi Farris are from the McNairy County TN Census, US Census, Military Records, Bounty Land Records filed by Margaret Nunley Farris, Marriage Records for Warren County TN, Cemetery records, burial location and tombstone information.Ê Again, my Farris line runs from my Father, O. W. Farris, to Odus Farris, to Elihu Jackson Farris to Overton Louis Farris to Levi [Kelley-nickname] Farris.

We are seeking information on my husband's grandfather Jamie Kelly [Matlick?] Farris b 12/11/27 d 07/11/09. Apparently "Farris" is not his birth name. Unknown why he changed it. We believe he might have been born in Nebraska. He moved to Klamath, OR where he joined the military March of 1946. We were told his father died when he fell off a truck. We believe he had a sister who tried to contact his son, Jamie Kelly Farris Jr., but she died a short time later. Please contact me:
