Clyde Lewis held extensive farming interests in the Patterson, Georgia area. He was a member, past master and secretary - treasurer of the Patterson Masonic Lodge and a past master of the Eighth District Masonic Convention. He was a member of the Patterson Lions Club, a member of the local Board of Education, and served on the Patterson City Council for 25 years.
