      The earliest record found on the DesVergers family begins with Jacques Charles Anthony DesVergers, b: unknown, married Madame Martha de la Rue, b: 1780 in France, on Sapelo Island, Georgia on 21 July 1797. Jacques died 7 June 1806 in McIntosh County. Martha married a second time to John Wallace. Martha died 18 Sept. 1854. They had two children.
