Melville "Bud" F Wallace, born 27 Oct 1918, in Bethel Twp, Clark CO, Ohio, son of Leonidas Dunreath Wallace and Effie Elizabeth Grube.
After his mother's death in 1931 he narrowly escaped having to live at the Clark County Children's Home. He worked for, and lived with, three different farmers in the area until enlisting in the Army at age 22.
