1760; As her portion of divided estates of her
father she received 100 acres, including the farm and carriage houses;
also that part called the dike, and a portion of what is now called Cambridgeport.
The carriage house was removed to Cambridgeport and remodelled into a comfortable
dwelling, and occupied by Mrs. Bordman until her death. This and
her other properties went to son Andrew on her death.
In 1809 the part of Phipps Farm at Cambridgeport,
known as the Bordman Farm, consisted of 8 - 10 acres, highly cultivated
with a splendid apple orchard of pumpkin sweeting, greening, pearmain,
russet, wine, rosy cheek, nonsuch etc., gooseberries, and currants.
Ornamental shrubs of lilac, sweetbriar, primrose, etc. Two large
willow trees. The farm house (the old carriage house) was large and
airy and at that time was the only building on the Point. At the
rear of the house stood a thickly shaded wood covering many acres on what
was later named Craigie Road extending as far as the colleges. The farm
house was later destroyed by fire. (200 Years Ago, or, A Brief History
