Following the death of Milo, Rosetta ran a boarding house. Her home was large and her children were old enough to help. Julius did very little, Pliny helped quite a lot. He had a lovely singing voice and used to sing operettas to his mother. Mabel had Bright's disease so she was obese and not able to do much. There were boarders by the name of Anderson, who had a suite. Mr. Anderson owned a couple of warehouses. Another boarder was Lila MacNiel who was a librarian, and her mother.
