He was born Abt. 1650 of Boston, Suffolk Co., Massachusetts, and died 1722 at Castle  William.  In her she old age made many depositions as to Falmouth lands stating that she lived there 7 years before Philips War, one year with Mr. James Andrews, and that before marrying and after she was a widow, she was at Scottow'sgarrison in Scarboro.  (Genealogical Dictionary of Maine and New Hampshire) Isaac Hallem, who in 1722, was a soldier at Castle William could be 2nd husband186 They had at least 2 children born at Boston, MA.

1671;  At Saco, York Co.,  Maine.  Husbandman, cordwainer.  (Savage's) (these dates don't make sense, birthdate must be incorrect)  1674;  Falmouth, Me. between Round Marsh and Capisic with Richard Powsland (Powsly).   Bought 70  acres at Capisic from George Munjoy May 20, lying on the river over against the mill of George Ingersoll, and running to a creek between the meadow and Joseph Ingersoll's house.  A house was erected immediately.  Also owned 6 acres and a house on the neck (Portland) which property he rented and a 2 acre  lot near the fort, to which property he returned from Salem among the first after Philip's War, as by his petition to Governor Andros 1687.  (History of Framingham; Genealogical Dictionary of Maine and New Hampshire;  Maine Historical Society)  June 30, 1675;  "John Cloyse of Falmouth & Julian his wife" for the love that they bear their 'sunn Thomas Clouse & Susannah his wife & alsoe In Consideration of two oxen now received of him..." give him land that he purchased of Mr. George Cleves.  Signed as John Cloyce, she signs by mark.Witnesses; George Munjoy, Temperance Munjoy, her mark 'T'.  This land described as sixty acres with houses between Well Cove and Round Cove inFalmouth.  (York Deeds 2:174) 1681;  At  Wells,  York Co., Maine. He came to this country in 1674 and settled in Boston, where he lived until his death. He was a joiner by trade. His house was on the south side of what is now Hanover street, between Washington and Friend streets. He was thrice married. His first wife died in Boston, 1687. He married (second) Sarah Cloyes. He married (third) Martha Healy, December 10, 1700. He had five children by the first wife, four by the second and one by the third. He died March 25, 1686. She was born June 23, 1681 in Topsfield, Essex Co., Massachusetts, and died Abt. 1735 in Framingham, Middlesex Co., Massachusetts - 3/27?  Would anyone know their death & marriage dates or places? They seem to have disappeared!  Built house w of father's, n of Leander Barber's,  Salem, Ma.  (The Cloyes Family;  New England Families Genealogical & Memorial)  1700;  Road laid from site of meeting house to Salem End past site of minister's house to s side of John Town's door over new bridge at Stoney Brook and over the plain to the corner of Benjamin Nurse's land, then over a little spruce swamp on s side and up to Peter Cloyes Senior's house and to James Cloyes', then John Nurse's, with a branch from John Travis' to Caleb Bridge's and on to common.  (settled about 1 mile w of common of at Salem End)  (History of Framingham) June 27, 1710;  Appears on Framingham tax list, the town at this time in 2 constable wards, on the basis of each man's proportion to a tax of 10 pounds to procure a stock of ammunition, he paid 2 shillings and 2 pence. James Cloyes 2 Shillings 4 Pence as his  share.  (Cloyes-Dagwell Family Genealogy - Obetz)  July 19, 1715;  Committee to seat meeting house.  (History of Framingham)  April 19, 1725;  At town meeting the town voted to raise 100 pounds for the purpose of building a new meeting house.  James was chosen to join a committee to agree with the workman to build the house.  The controversy over where this should be built extended over a period of 10 years.  One of the sites selected did not meet the approval of one of the leading citizens of the town, so he confiscated the timbers and built himself a barn.  The General Court was called on to settle the matter, but it was not until March 25, 1734 that an amicable settlement was made.  Next year the house was built.  (Encyclopedia of New England Families)  1730 - 1735;  Town selectman.  (Encyclopedia of New England Families)

24.  HEPSIBAH5 CLOYES (PETER4, JOHN3, PETER2, PETER1)283 was born Abt. 1685 in Salem, Essex Co., Massachusetts284,285.  She married EBENEZER HARRINGTON287 February 03, 1707/08 in Framingham, Middlesex Co., Massachusetts288,289,290,291, son of THOMAS HARRINGTON and REBECCA BEMIS.  He was born June 27, 1687 in Watertown, Middlesex Co.,  Massachusetts.  Admitted to the church of Waltham, Mar. 27, 1709, and to that of Fram., June 15, 1718; Ebenezer selectman, of Fram., 1742. His Will was proved Ap. 8, 1754.
"Conregagational Conference Center Land
This land is located on the corner of Salem End Road and Badger Road, and has an interesting history. It was formerly owned by Mr. and Mrs. Charles F. Adams, and was known as Wedgemere Farm. Mr. Adams was a noted sportsman and business leader. He raised horses on the property and in his other activities, he brought professional hockey to Boston - the Bruins. He was one of the original sponsers of Suffolk Downs and Wonderland, and he was also president of the Boston Braves.
The Conference Center property dates back many years in the town's history, back to the settlement of the town. Ebenezer Harrington, who came to Framingham in 1709, bought the property from Joseph Buckminster. The latter was the grantee of the residue of the Danforth grant which included practically all of Framinham Centre, west of the Sudbury River. Occupation: weaver294  She was received into full communion on proof of faith, Sept. 6, 1713. Caleb Kimball of Wells sells land in Wells, July 10, 1710. Caleb Kimball and wife Susanna sell land on Ogunquid river to Thomas Mason, Nov. 12, 1716. Caleb Kimball and wife Susanna, and Abigail Wiggins, widow of James Wiggins, sell all rights in land formerly Thomas Mills', Feb. 16, 1720. Caleb Kimball of Wells, James Smith of York, John Fulsom of Exeter, and Abigail Wiggins of Wells, divide a tract of land, July 1, 1718. Abbie Wiggins and Caleb Kimball are to have two acres more and some marsh land in consideration of the maintenance of their grandfather, and for debts they have paid for their uncle, John Mills.
