This _____esth that I Willyam
Bull of Cambridge in ye County of medlesex in New England doe make and
ordaine & declare my last will & Teastament in manner & forme
following; viz my I,ortall soule I doe resigne up to ye everlasting merci
of god - Father sonn & holy ghost my outward estate after after [sic]
ye payment of all just debts I despose thee of as followeth:
Imprimis: To my loveing wife
I doe give all my moveables. To my sonn John I doe give five shillings,
to my sonne Willyam I doe give two shillings six pens - to my two daughters
Rebecka & Mary I doe give twelve pence a piece to my sonn Elysha I
doe give thirty pound to be paid five pound a yeare the first payment to
be dn unto him one full year after ye Death of my loveing wife & five
pound a yeare till ye sd thirty pound be paid ye pay to be in corne &
cattele at ye then current priced to be paid in -- Cambridg a fore sd:
To my Sonn Samll I doe give all ye Rest of my estate in housing & lands:
the reason why I doe give Samll more than Elisha, is because he is &
must be more helpful for our reliefe than any other of my children:
out of which legasy he ye sd Samll shall pay unto his brother Elysha the
legasy hereby given unto him. & also ye legasyes hereby given
unto his other Brothers & sisters. also my will is that if my
sonn Elysha be not contented with ye legasy here by -- given unto him but
do mollest his Brother Samll by any suite at law thereby to recover any
more than is hereby given unto him then he shall have onely five shillings
for his portion of any part --- my estate: also my will is that if my wives
necessity call for it she shall have by power to make sale of any part
of my estate for her necessary
reliefe dureing her life.
Finally I doe consititute &
ordaine my loveing wife & my Sonn Samll sole Executores of this my
last will & testament & I doe nominate & appoynt my loveing
Friends Lt. Edward Winship & Frances Moore both of Cambridge my overseers
of this my will. In witness here of I have here unto put my hand
& seale this 21 day of May in ye yeare of ye lord 1687 in ye presence

3. WILLIAM2 BULL
(WILLIAM1) was born September 10, 1652, of Cambridge, Middlesex Co., Massachusetts23,
and died January 3, 1730/1, Sherborn, Middlesex Co., Massachusetts24.
He married (1) ABIAH PERRY January 03, 1673/74 in Watertown, Middlesex
Co., Massachusetts25, daughter of WILLIAM PERRY and ANNA
(Anyone
know Anna's maiden name?). He married (2) ELIZABETH26,27,28,29
September 13, 169330,31. Who was Elizabeth? She was 1st wife
of Joseph Underwood, but maiden name is unknown.
Some accounts list her as Elizabeth Bond, when in fact "Bond" was the source
used in an early genealogy from which eveyone else mistakenly assumed and
perpetuated the myth, that it was Elizabeth's maiden name ("Bond" being
the History of Watertown by Bond - the origin of the Underwood family.
There was an Elizabeth Bond, but she married another. Could Elizabeth have
been sister to Abiah Perry?

William Bull, Jr. Brother's Samuel age 27, and Elisha age 25 - 6,

Summer 1685; Court case
John Watson vs. William Bull of Cambridge: a "parcell of spotted
swine" had damaged a cornfield of Elisha and William Bull, Elisha kept
one pig at his father's house to pay for the damages. Bull was fined
26 sh. & court costs; the case was appealed and the decision reversed.

land to James Bond for 25 pounds sterling - 8 acres of plowland near Piggasuck

1705; Elisha Bullen of
Medfield, MA sold 80 acres of land (no buildings mentioned) for 40# to
William Bull of Woburn, MA, with all town rights of common (ie. its rights
to future divisions of common land) (Middlesex Deeds, book 16, p
263) This is same property conveyed later to John Phips, named as his grandson.

Bull of Sherborn, bricklayer, whereas John Phips of the said Sherborn,
grandson to the said William Bull and Elizabeth his wife hath been by them
brought up from childhood till that he has arrived to the age of one and
twenty years and the said William Bull and his wife being desirous that
the said John Phips their grandson should continue and abide with them
to be a help, comfort & support to them in their old age & the
said John Phips the grandson being freely willing to tarry with his said
grandfather and grandmother to manage & carry on & take care of
the husbandry business & to be helping, aiding & assisting of them
in their old age as such may require so long as they & each of them
shall live provided that something of a settlement may be secured to him
after their decease as a reward of his care & pains, & the said
William Bull for the encouragement to the said grandson propses to settle
upon & tenure unto him, his heirs & assignes the whole of his housings,
land, improvements & rights of them in Sherborn aforesaid not belonging
to, appertaining & in possession of him the said William Bull the same
to be possessed by the said grandson and his heirs immediately after the
decease of the said William Bull and his said wife on the proviso that
the condition herein next following mentioned & expressed be well &
truly done, fulfilled & performed, viz First that the said John Phips
will abide with the said grandfather & grandmother take care of and
faithfully manage their husbandry affairs abroad & with such help as
said grandparents shall please to afford diligently & carefully assist,
take care of & support & maintain them from time to time &
at all times as need requires as long as both or one of them shall live
- Secondly, and after the decease of the said William Bull & his wife
within the term of 2 years next after the same to pay or cause to be paid
to Abiah the daughter of the said William Bull now dwelling at Carolina
or to her heirs & assigns the sum of 30# of current money of New England
or in Bills of Publick Credit on any of his Majesties Colonies therein,
which conditions and articles therein contained above recited the said
John Phips doth freely submit himself unto & take up withal."
John Phips is then deeded "all my edifices, housing building lands and
improvements situate & lying & being in Sherborne aforesaid &
also all my rights divisions holdings & common rights of land
in said Sherborne or elsewhere always excepting the rights & property
& claim... of Elisha Pullen (Bullen?) in the 3rd division of lands
in said Sherborn & in all his other Proprietors rights in the common
and undivided lands in Sherborne aforesaid' May 15, 1719. William
Bull appeared and acknowledged this to be his free act, May 15, 1733.

descendants of the William Bull above? His daughter Abiah went to
'Carolina'. Just prior to the Revolutionary War, a William Bull was
governor of South Carolina. Any connection with this family?
