THE DAUGHTERS OF WILLIAM AND SUSANNAH GRAHAM WALKER
Each daughter had a son named WILLIAM who inherited the sum of ten dollars from their Grandfather William Walker ;William Rector, William Hartman, William Deakins but no William Jones; however, I do not think that Nancy Walker Jones may have had a son William Jones to be born after 1846. It is now time to give each daughter her own separate page since much information has been found and many cousins found as well
MARY WALKER RECTOR
"Rectors came from Chimney Top" Hawkins Co., TN This was a quote from Mary Henderson as told to Janelle Walker Warden on a visit to her home about 1981. So did the Rectors stop off in North Carolina before making the move to Hawkins County and down to Greeneville, Tennessee?
There was a Benjamin Rector served in the North Carolina Roster of American Revolutionary War Soldiers. Not sure if this is our Benjamin or his dad? Recorded in the 1809 Washington Co. TN deed bk: William Crawford to Benjamin Rector waters of Lick Creek, $500.00 for 184 acres. (Lick Creek near Blackley Creek and Jearoldstown) Benjamin Rector is on the Tennessee Tax List for 1814 and 1819 in Washington County. Benjamin's land was on the border of Washington Co. and Greene Co., Tennessee
The 1840 Census record shows Benjamin and Mary with 4 sons and 4 daughters. Mary and Benjamin Rector were married about 1806 in Washington County and yes the Walkers were neighbors to the Rectors all living near Providence Presbyterian Church and Carson Creek area
Jesse Scalf born about 1813 married Clarissa Brown and had a daughter, Lavonia Scalf married to Andrew Rector. Andrew "Kidd" Rector, Jr. died 1994 in a nursing home in Tennessee. There is a relationship and help is greatly needed to organize the RECTOR family. My one source so far is Kathryn Galloway Boring
