CROCKETTS of SOUTH CAROLINA & VIRGINIA
CROCKETT FAMILIES

A genealogist dream cemetery is this cemetery in Lancaster, South Caroline. I may not have ancestors buried here but oh the history that lies in this cemetery is awesome. From Andrew Jackson Sr and the folks who made their way down the great wagon road. I find myself researching the CROCKETT family since they do connect to the GRAHAMS who settled in NC/SC and made their way to WYTHEVILLE, VA. I have read copies of historian Nancy Crockett's works and I feel there just may be a connection to some of these folks. Time and research will tell

WAXHAW HISTORIC MARKER

WAXHAW PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH

It seems only fitting to DEDICATE this page to Historian NANCY LOUISE CROCKETT. I am hoping to make some connection to her line from my GRAHAM lineage and maybe even the MORROW line?

Waxhaw Presbyterian Church and Cemetery

Tombstone inscriptions of the David Morrow and Andrew Crockett Family in the old Waxhaw Church - Yard as composed by Worth S. Ray. Is David Morrow really buried in this cemetery? I have looked and I have never found gravestone according to what Worth Ray wrote. Has the stone been swallowed in decay? I did find the families that are surrounding where David Morrow was supposedly laid to rest many years ago. Is there also a connection to the Morrow family with the Andrew Crockett family?

When I Janelle visited Waxhaw Cemetery in September 2007, I did not find the grave of David Morrow. "In memory of David Morrow who departed this life February the 18 1785 aged 54 years" I did find many of the stones of those mentioned above HISTORICAL WAXHAW OLD PRESBYTERIAN CEMETERY
