THE DAUGHTERS OF WILLIAM AND SUSANNAH GRAHAM WALKER
Each daughter had a son named WILLIAM who inherited the sum of ten dollars from their Grandfather William Walker ;William Rector, William Hartman, William Deakins, William Hunt but no William Jones; however, I do not think that Nancy Walker Carson Jones had a son William to live past 1840. It is now time to give each daughter her own separate page since much information has been found and many cousins found as well
ANNA WALKER DEAKINS
ANNA WALKER, born December 15, 1803 and died August 14, 1858 was described as being small with brown hair, blue eyes and very Irish. She married JAMES Y. DEAKINS, August 21, 1825 in Washington Co., TN
James Y. Deakins' will was dated March 1872. In his will he mentions the new family Bible given to Grandson George K. Brown. Granddaughter Achsah Brown side saddle formerly belonging to deceased Grandmother Deakins. Granddaughter Clarissa Brown and Granddaughter Margaret Brown, all children of deceased mother Suzanne Brown. Henry and RMK Deakins to remain at domicile as well as grandchildren. John and RMK to be Henry's guardians. 250 acres of land is still owned by the DEAKINS descendants

- 1.DANIEL DEAKINS, died young
- 2.WILLIAM WALKER DEAKINS, born 7 April 1826 ; died 13 January 1898 and MARY HUNT (daughter of JESSE & MARTHA HUNT and granddaughter of URIAH & SARAH HUNT born 23 June 1823 and died October 1905 - married September 8, 1852. Burial is in the Old Hunt Cemetery. Three children were born to this union: (1)Jesse J. born 1854 married LAURA A. Unknown ; five children born to them: WILLIAM J., JAMES H., MONNIE, CHARLEY and THOMAS {twins} (2)JOHN H. born 19 Nov 1856 died 19 May 1883 and (3)MARTHA A DEAKINS born 1859 must have died young because in 1900 Mary says she had 3 children and only one living which was Jesse J living District 12 (Buffalo Ridge) near his mother. Mother Mary A Deakins age 76 living near Jacob and Mary Elizabeth Gresham Bacon. Mary lived only five years later
- 3.ACHSAH DEAKINS, born 8 August 1827 ; died 5 July 1856. She was married to Samuel Sherfey January 25, 1855. Twin sons, JAMES W. and DANIEL BOVELL SHERFEY were born 20 Dec 1855
- 4. JAMES DEAKINS, went west to Kansas City, MO at one time in his life. I think I found him living in Yamhill, Oregon with a wife Mary and a son James and daughter Anna in 1900 and 1910. He must have married in Missouri and named his children after his parents
- 5. JOHN DEAKINS, also went west to Kansas City, MO but returned home and married NANCY CAROLINE KINCHELOE. Children of John and Nancy Caroline were WILLIAM M., JAMES M., AMANDA J., RICHARD E., and MARY C and all continued to live in Washington Co., Tennessee
- 6. SUSANNAH DEAKINS, born abt. 1830 ; died 1872. She married WILLIAM B. BROWN August 22, 1849. Children were JAMES, JOHN, GEORGE KINCHELOE, ACHSAH, CLARISSA AND MARGARET BROWN. I found George K. Brown living in Bucoda, Thurston, Washington 1920 with a wife Nancy and son Clarence
- 7. HENRY DEAKINS, born 1844 ; he died 1911. Henry fell out of the barn as a young boy. He lived with RMK. He was crippled his entire life. His burial is in the Sulphur Springs Community Cemetery
- 8. RICHARD MARTIN KITZMILLER DEAKINS, farmer, merchant, educator, Christian, was born 18 December 1847. He married ELIZABETH JANE BACHMAN, 4 September 1856. She died 6 July 1937. They were married about 1879. He died 3 December 1914. I was told by Mary Henderson that RMK was nicknamed "Rich" and rich was what he was perhaps because he was the youngest son at home when James died and probably inherited the farm plus he was appointed guardian of brother Henry so he had a job to carry on. Two children were born to RMK and Elizabeth ; ARGIL ALPHONSE and LULA J. Lulu J. married ROBERT NELSON BACON. They lived for awhile in Knoxville. They had no children. Robert died before 1920 and Lulu died 7 July 1921. Robert served on the Sulphur Springs School Board about 1900 ; when Robert died, Argil A. Deakins took his place on the school board
James and Anna are buried in the Old Hunt Cemetery Sulphur Springs, Jonesborough, TN. along with Thursa Nelson Deakins, second wife of James Y. Deakins. I could use help on finding Thursa/Thersa Nelson Deakins parents ; there are several Nelsons buried nearby Thursa in the Old Hunt Cemetery
