AMY GLEN WALKER BOWMAN

January 4, 1907 - April 11, 1993

Amy Glen Walker was born to Henry Andrew and Mary Adelaide Hunt Walker. One of the hired helpers attended the delivery of Amy so she was named Glen in honor of the hired help. Amy was the 6th child and 2nd daughter. She attended Morningstar School and graduated from Sulphur Springs. She must have been a popular girl during her school years and afterwords in her adult life. When anyone came to town they always stopped by to see Amy who lived on the hill in the lovely old brick home in Bowmantown. Her radiant personality was something that appealed to both men and women and she passed on to her three children; Joel Kreed, Phyllis Henry and Derek Hunt Bowman. Amy was married to Joseph Lee Bowman March 10, 1925 at the Sulphur Springs Methodist Church by E.G. Gillespie. Joe operated a grocery store and was a farmer all his life. Joe was born 1902 and died before 1988. Joseph Lee Bowman was born to William Sherfey Bowman and Mary Elizabeth Carson and the grandson of Benjamin M. Bowman and Isabel Achsah Sherfey

I have often wondered if Joe Bowman might be in this picture?
