What happened between Eli and Susannah between 1861-1862 ; Eli married Rebecca Elvina Taylor about 1863 and was later found living on Cherokee Rd with a new family and he is buried at the Union Church of Christ Cemetery. I am not certain what happened to Susannah ; did she die, remarry or move away?This is the deed that Henry Martin Walker made with the Bacon family for the land that he moved to in 1870 on the Douglas Shed Rd. Henry, brother William, sisters Chloe Sylvester, Susannah Bayless, and Sarah Jane Keefauver were listed on the deed. Jonathan Bacon deceased 1860 was the son of Isaac Bacon and the husband of Debora Barron Bacon

The names of Nathaniel Louis, John Blair and Hugh Blair are mentioned along with a corner of a grant of fourteen acres to John Ferguson. Witnesses were Charles Jenkins, Samuel Robinson and John Robinson 19 Apr 1828 17 581-582 John was married 24 November 1824. 1830 census shows John age 34, Lucretia 26, William 3, Chloe 1 with neighbors Aaron Keyes, Nathan Nelson, Samuel Robinson all 20-30 yrs of age

William Walker Methodist Episcopal Church Deed.. William Walker (Jr) in consideration of the sum of one dollar .....convey unto them the said Richard Basket, John Mahoney, Aaron Keys and Abel Loyd, Wesley Fraker, William Hartman and William Walker and their successors...witness John M. McAdams. (A 5 page deed) 23 June 1846 26 411 About the year of 1846, Richard Basket,was passing by this particular spot when he saw a light and realized the community needed a church. At this time the property was owned by Mr. William Walker, Jr and Mr. Basket suggested to him that it would be a fine place for a church. William Walker gave 1 1/2 acres of land to the Methodist Episcopal Church. The first church was Methodist Episcopal Church South according to the Minutes of the Ralston Conference of Oct. 1845

John & Henry M Walker Daniel Galloway Deed 13 Feb 1863 38 393 John Walker would be the father of Henry Martin Walker ; not exactly sure about Daniel Galloway. There was a Daniel uncle of Elmira Galloway 1st wife of Henry M. Walker. Elmira died 1860. Galloway's were neighbors to Richard B Martin, Nicholas Keefauver and Samuel Douglass. John & Henry seem to be working their way up the north end of Sulphur Springs

Brown....then to a planted stone on Widow Browns line...Sarah Jane Browns corner .... 19 Feb 1868 128 Isaac Kiser came from Virginia to Washington Co.,Tennessee and must have settled on Blakely Creek ; his son Smith Kiser married Nila Sue Jones granddaughter of Susannah Walker Jones and great granddaughter of Andrew & Sarah J Brown Walker. Not sure about Widow Browns line unless they are referring to John and Nancy Brown? If this is Andrew Walker he died in 1869. Ferguson was also a neighbor. Smith Kiser after marrying was living in Sulphur Springs near Zachariah Walker
Andrew J Walker Isaac Keizer Deed...see above deed 16 Feb 1870 42 123 There was an Isaac Keizer father of Smith Kiser who married Nila Sue Jones granddaughter of Susannah Walker Jones. Smith & Nila lived as neighbors to the Walkers in the 1930's. Andrew J Walker would be the son of John Brown Walker and grandson of Andrew & Sarah Brown Walker. Andrew Walker father of Susannah Walker Jones had died by 1870 and a grandson Andrew J. Winton Walker was only 2 yrs old in 1870 ; the 2 yr old Andrew J Winton Walker would be Zach's son who married Babe Bayless dau of Susannah Walker Bayless ; The older Andrew was living with Uncle Zach so maybe he was finishing up the deed for land after grandfather Andrew Walker died in 1869

Cox to Hannah Hale, 26 Feb 1846} John B Walker atty is John Brown Walker son of Andrew & Sarah Brown Walker. We are looking at two deeds; one started 1866 and ended 1876 land purchased from the Duncan heirs. The second deed has to do with the Limestone Baptist Church. Trustees of the Baptist Church Adam Good a blacksmith, Jacob H Hunt son of Uriah & Sarah Kincheloe Hunt, Robert L. Keefauver son of Henry & Sarah J Walker Keefauver, J.M. Hunt Jr. son of James Madison & Sarah J Martin Hunt. Not sure about Jessee Hunt but may be the grandfather of Jacob H Hunt. THE DEED TO LIMESTONE BAPTIST CHURCH LOT This endenture made and entered into on the the 13th day of October in the year of our lord 1909, by J.M.Hunt, Jr. of the one part and Adam Good, Jacob H. Hunt, and Robert L. Keefauver, Trustees of the Limestone Baptist Church of the other part, all of the county of Washington and State of Tennessee. Whereas the said J.M. Hunt now owned the farm from which there was excepted a certain amount of land by Jessee Hunt in a Deed of Conveyance to Hannah Cox in the year 1866 for the Baptist Church, which Church is located in the 14th Civil District of Washington County and State of Tennessee, known as the Limestone Baptist Church. There was also excepted from said farm of the said J.M. Hunt by Hannah Cox in a Deed of Conveyance by said Hannah Cox to J.M. Hunt, Sr. in the year 1876, enough land when added to the amount of land excepted by the said Jessee Hunt in the year of 1876 would make two acres
A W Walker, Clerk & Master Aaron Keys & wife Suit...Whereas in a suit began and finally determined in the chancery court at Greeneville County of Greene State of Tennessee. Wherein Thos H. Bournly was complainant and Solomon Miller & F. W Miller were defendants and whereas at the September special term 1875 a Decree was pronounced andan appeal to the supreme court and by said court remanded to the chancery court for further proceedings and whereas at November term 1877 a final decree and sale of land mentioned and described in the pleading situate in 17th civil district Washington County adjoining the lands of Moses Carson, John Carson and others and whereas at the May term 1878 an agreed Decree was pronounced giving Solomon Miller one of the respondents four months time to sell said land at a private sale but not for less than one thousand dollars and whereas said Miller on the 16th day of August 1878 sold at private sale to one Aaron Keys and wife nancy Ann Keys said land for the sum of one thousand fifty dollars cash paid in hand paid to the Clerk ^ Master and whereas at the November term 1878 the report of said land was confirmed and the title divested out of Solomon Miller and others and vested in said Aaron Keys Nancy Ann Keys and their heirs and assigns forever and the clerk & master directed to make deed transfer. Therefore J A W Walker Clerk & Master of the chancery Court at Greeneville do hereby transfer and convey all the right title interest and claim that Solomon Miller or any of the defendants have in and to the following described land asituate in the 17th district of Washington County adjoining Moses Carson * others...corner to John Carson on the old Carson line...thence south to Sevier Tadlocks corner....to a stake in Mill Creek near a Buckeye...containing one hundred and twenty two acres more or less. To have and to hold the same to Aaron Keys and Nancy Ann Keys their heirs and assigns forever in a full and simple a manner as I Clerk & Master can or ought to convey the same but no further or otherwise interlined before signed.
