PAYNE CEMETERY MONROE CO., KENTUCKY

This cemetery is located off Mt Hermon Rd and Payne Road on a private farm. There is a barbed wired gate and fence for the cattle grazing there and the lady who lives there was very gracious about helping me to take down the electric gate to drive out to the cemetery. The cemetery also has a gate around it and is a well kept cemetery. I copied most of the stones except for the McWhorter family located in the back by the fence and a few Payne family tombstones. There were tombstones near the entrance that did not relate to my Bacon so those I did not copy either. My interest was the the John and Marena Forbush/Fawbush Family. John was the son of James Bacon and Dorcas Jackson and grandson of James and Magdalena Neumann Bacon. I met the cousins who descend from Silvanus Bacon who moved to Barren Co. after John and Marena and they had no idea that John Bacon was related to Silvanus. Silvanus was the son of Charles and Eva Neumann Bacon and he came with his brother Jonathan Bacon to Barren Co and settled on Poplar Grove Road ; a brother Montgomery Bacon also settled near them but I have not found Montgomery's descendants yet
