  • 1. Joseph C. Bacon born January 18, 1851 and died April 26, 1914 married Elizabeth Duncan daughter of Robert Allison Duncan & Esther Barkley Duncan. Elizabeth Duncan was born November 13, 1854 and died September 10, 1929. They are buried at Sulphur Springs Cemetery

  • 2. Letitia Ellen Bacon born May 1853 died October 1, 1919 married James Winton Archer born October 29, 1848 died November 15, 1930 and buried at Sulphur Springs Cemetery
  • 3. Mary Bacon born 1856
  • 4. Nancy Bacon born about 1859

    On the death certificate has been written birth date April 26, 1914 and the 1914 was marked out with 1851 written over the 1914 ; the informant Robert Nelson Bacon may have been thinking of the death date and wrote that in without thinking. Cause of death acute indigestion ; J E Shipley attending physician

(Robert Bacon married Lulu J. Deakins sister to A. A. Deakins. This group of men provided the political and financial support in the community that brought a highly respected high school to the community that continued for many years
