This store was on the Barkley Rd and Kyker Rd intersection and at the home of John Daniel Barkley. Daniel B. Barkley must have operated the store here in early days ; this might have been Daniel's "Cheap Store"

A very interesting stone in the front yard by the road which at one time was the Old Stage Road and folks would step up to get on the stagecoach. I also found one in Max Meadows, Wythe Co., Virginia which was also the Old Stage Road

This must be the store operated by the McClain family in the 1940's ; would like to know if Daniel B Barkley might have operated this store in earlier days? This store building is across the road from the Uncle Sammy Keebler house
