GENEALOGY
Webster's dictionary on genealogy quotes " a recorded history of a person's ancestry, the study of family descent, and lineage" BACON, BARKLEY, BARRON, BARNES, BRABSON, CARSON, CARTER, CHURCH, DEACON, ELLIS, ELY, GRAHAM, HUNT, INGERSOLL, MARTIN, MATHEWS, MORROW, NUNES,NUNEZ, ROSS, SHERIFF/SHR EVE, STANLEY, STEELE, STUART/STEWART, WALKER, WALLACE, WARDEN, and WARREN are all part of my lineage.
AT TIMES I CAN ALMOST FEEL THE PRESENCE OF MY ANCESTORS~~~
A GENTLE, GUIDING TOUCH FROM THOSE WHO'VE GONE BEFORE
The quote is from a book titled "Making decorative mirrors and shelves" by Holly Jorgensen. One page exhibited how to decorate a mirror adding family pictures to all sides of the mirror. What a neat way to display the family and everytime you look into the mirror you see yourself surrounded by ancestors and descendants. Talk about feeling their presence..........
I have submitted the WALKERS, HUNTS, MORROWS, and STANLEY/STEELES to the FAMILYTREEMAKER ;however, I have updated the families and have more precise information on my families today. Periodically I revise and update my family tree maker home page. You may view my home page at www.familytreemaker.com/users/w/wa/war/Janelle M Warden

FAMILY
It all began sixty years ago, when JANELLE MORROW WALKER WARDEN was born on September 13, 1938 to HERBERT CARTER WALKER AND LUCILLE MORROW and my big sister, JACQUELINE KAY WALKER. My parents spent many of their years shuffling back and forth from the country road to the big times in the heart of SULPHUR SPRINGS. Down on the farm or working in the country store, that was where you would find my parents. Daddy drove a store truck and picked up eggs, chickens, butter, etc. from the customers. They would exchange their products for groceries they needed at home. Daddy would pick up the grocery list and goods and return with the grocery items they had asked for, home delivery of groceries. Growing up in the store, was an exciting time. Saturday nights at the country store was the place to be and other times the men would be gathered around the radio listening to the Joe Lewis fights. Janelle learning to walk with her walker, would go right up to the shelves and select olives for her enjoyment. Pretty soon, they had to start putting the olives on higher shelves. Boxes were such fun to play in, especially when one had the whooping cough. Saturday nights we would get out the wash tub for the Saturday night baths. On Sunday, we would close up the store and head for the mountains or someplace away from the store. Daddy was one to keep the Sabbath as a Holy Day. Janelle grew up a normal childhood, helping daddy in the hay field, plowing, discing the fields, painting fences, and working in the yard.
I did what was expected of me, going to college, getting a degree in elementary education with an extra degree in library science. Most of my life was spent being a school librarian, later becoming a mother to our two sons. August 1960, I left Tennessee in my red and white Fairlane Ford, a graduation gift from my parents and made my way to Florida. On December 22, 1962, Janelle marries Cyrus Ely Warden, Jr.
CARTER ELY WARDEN was born on September 05, 1963, in Melbourne, FLorida which made a threesome in our family. Carter's first three years were spent enjoying the beach, riding the waves on his styrafoam surfboard, and visiting with his grandparents. On one occasion we had a BATMAN PARTY complete with bat burgers. Then we made the move to Tennessee where Carter got to know his maternal grandparents, farm pals riding the tractor, going to the livestock market, learning how to vaccinate cattle, and building fences. Carter was active in sports, but he gave up football for singing.
Twelve years later, GRAHAM INGERSOLL WARDEN entered the scene on June 18, 1976. This date was a very popular date in our family. Graham's grandfather Cyrus E. Graham's first computer was a Timex-Sinclair, soon graduating to an Apple Computer, moving to the compatible IBM computer and educating his mom to the computer.
Carter decided it was time to leave the home nest at the age of nineteen. Carter and Melanie Lynn Whitson were married on July 29, 1983. Carter continued his education at Tri-City Technology School graduating with honors in Automotive Mechanics. Melanie became a Dental Hygienist, with an Associate degree from East Tennessee State University. Soon Carter felt the call into the ministry and continued his studies at MILLIGAN COLLEGE graduating in 1988 with a B.A. On March 17, 1990, CALEB ETHAN WARDEN was born to this union. March 01, 1996, MADISON LEIGH WARDEN became a part of this family. They live on the land that was purchased around 1870 by HENRY MARTIN WALKER. DOCTORS TRY AND KEEP YOU HERE ON EARTH

This was a quote my grandmother MARY ADELAIDE HUNT WALKER was given by her nephew, Dr. LUKE WELDON HUNT. God has certainly blessed me.
I retired four years ago from Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Public Library www.brev.lib.fl.us Today you will find me sitting by my computer at home in Satellite Beach, Florida
searching for relatives on the computer bellsouth.net/~jmwwardn or any day of the week praising and thanking God for all he has done and all he is going to do.
I am drinking from a saucer 'cause my cup has overflowed
When I went to school, we had public assembly where we listened to christian leaders speak. It was here I memorized Bible verses to go to camp. Children's Bible Mission (CBM Camp) It was in this camp that I took Jesus as my Savior, thanks to Joanne, my counselor, who told me about Jesus being my friend. Since that time at the age of ten, I have been walking with God. Life hasn't always been easy, but it has surely been good. God walked beside me and many times he carried me when the going got tough. He never gave up on me, though, I am sure there were times when others were pretty much discouraged. But not God! 4-H camp was another activity that kept me busy and Buffalo Mountain Methodist Church Camp played a major role in my development. I was active in Youth Fellowship, Wesley Foundation in College, and the women of the church organization. Church activities have always been a key part of my life.
Life hasn't always been smooth, but with God's help I have made it! I always try to focus on the positive and to remember that God is in control. My closer walk with God probably began about 1985 when I was doing volunteer work in schools, public library and church. The one bible verse that I remember memorizing was from Philippians 4:13 "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me" and to this day I know that is why my health is excellent. A favorite picture of mine has always been the "praying hands" a painting by Albert Dubrecht. PRAYER is a necessity in these times.
