FORDTOWN BAPTIST CEMETERY

Fordtown Baptist Cemetery is situated between Hwy 36 and I-26 not far from the Sullivan County-Washington County line. David Kitzmiller settled there in early 1800 and George Washington Kitzmiller who married Sarah Morrow daughter of Drury and Hester McCullough Morrow is buried there with his family except for Sarah who is buried at Providence Presbyterian near the Greene County-Washington County line. The Proffitts and Halls also lived near by with the present day Gray Community to the east. A lot of history is in this area
