BARBARA WARDEN STEWART
April 2011 I got one of the best emails I could ever receive. CHARLES WARDEN STEWART wrote to me telling me about his mother Barbara Warden Stewart. Barbara was the youngest of three daughters born to Charles Howard Warden and Mary Anne Fraser Warden. To find another cousin was a wonderful present! So I want to dedicate this page to Barbara Warden who would loved to have made a trip to America to see where her father had lived as a young boy. As young girls, Jean and Mary begged their dad to take them to America but a trip like that would be expensive on a head master's salary....so a trip was never made. And now today I want to reconnect the Warden cousins from California to Florida to Dunedin, Christchurch and Auckland, New Zealand. We are family!
Barbara Warden was born December 15, 1916 in Palmerston North, New Zealand. Barbara died September 16, 1995 at Birkenhead rest home in Auckland, New Zealand
Barbara married (1)Oswald Arthur Keane (2)Owen Beechey Spencer - ended in divorce (3)James Marshall Stewart ; Barbara was born 1916 and died 1995 in Auckland, New Zealand. Barbara lived with her husband James M Stewart a surgeon of obstetrics and gynecology in Gisborne, New Zealand but later moved back to Auckland where her husband is still living ; Barbara and Arthur Keane had a daughter stillborn in 1939 and it has been said she had several miscarriages afterwards...so sorry for her...maybe that is why both Jean and Molly named a daughter "Barbara" ; however, in her third marriage Barbara and James had six children of which none survived but they adopted a baby boy they named Charles Warden Stewart who became the joy of Barbara's life

The following pictures were sent to me by Charles Warden Stewart, grandson of Charles H Warden and I certainly do appreciate seeing them. All this helps us to know the cousins we never got to meet because of a huge body of water between us
