KIN BURIED IN THE BACON KEEFAUVER CEMETERY
This past December 2011 I finally located the Bacon Keefauver Cemetery with the help of Jim Keefauver who lives on the Keefauver farm also joined the BACON farm. A trek up the hill to where the cemetery is located was a very good fitness walk, stopping to catch our breath and take in the view from which we came. I am most certain we turned off the Pleasant Valley Road where my parents, sister and myself came to on Sunday afternoon drives and I played in the water. Jim pointed out to me that the cemetery was on the Bacon side rather than the Keefauver side and that A J Range had the farm later where the cemetery is located. We parked at a house that had been an A J Range house and later the (David)? White family from Pleasant Valley had lived there for awhile

Jesse Bacon son of Thomas Bacon and wife Sarah Barron ; I am now thinking that Thomas may have married a first wife and she died when Jesse was born and Sarah Barron became the only mother that Jesse Bacon ever knew ; Thomas and Sarah were born in December after Jesse was born in May-so who took care of Jesse? Maybe Jesse's mother is buried there?

Sarah Ann Bacon wife of John Harrison died September 19, 1906 "Thy God has claimed thee for His own" ; Sarah Ann was the daughter of Thomas & Sarah Barron Bacon and the last to live at home so she inherited the home place & by 1900 she had given the place to John Thomas Walker to care for Aunt Sary Ann... however John Thomas and Sarah Ann both died and the heirs of John Thomas Walker (Vertie Martin and family became the owners of the property where Mary, Nellie, Fred & John Jr grew up) which is located on the Douglas Chapel Road where John & Henry Martin Walker also lived in later years and why we came to have the Walker-Galloway Cemetery there
