     William Wubbenhorst, Jr. William Wubbenhorst, Jr., 83, and 11-year resident of Annapolis, previously of Rowayton, CT, died July 13 at his residence of natural causes. He was born on June 16, 1928 in Jamaica, Queens, N.Y. He graduated from St. Paul's Cathedral School in Garden City, NY; earned a BA from Wesleyan University, Middletown, CT in 1950; earned an MBA from Harvard Business School in 1955; also earned an Education for Ministry Degree from University of the South. He was a was senior Vice President at McCann-Erickson in New York City; was an executive with Iriquois Brands in Greenwich, CT; and also worked as Vice President at PR Data Systems Inc., Norwalk, CT. William was a captain in the US Marine Corps, being honorably discharged in 1959; served on active duty in Korea during the Korean War from 1951-53. Memorial service will be held on Thursday, August 11, 2011 at 1:00 PM at St. Margaret's Episcopal Church.

Bieg, daughter of Frederick Bieg and Sophia Wilhelmina Tutor, on 29 May 1919 at St. Mary's Church, Dunton, Queens County, New York.6 Frank Edwin Rowan died on 24 Jan 1955 at Pomfret, Windham County, Connecticut, at age 58.7,4

     Frank Edwin Rowan was born on 10 Apr 1928 at Jamaica, Queens County, New York.1 He was baptized at Richmond Hill, Queens County, New York.1 He was the son of Frank Edwin Rowan and Christina T. Bieg. Frank Edwin Rowan died on 30 Sep 2009 at Redfield, Jefferson County, Arkansas, at age 81.2,3

     CW04 (Ret.) Frank Edwin Rowan, 81 of Redfield, Arkansas went to be with the Lord on September 30, 2009.

He was born April 10, 1928 in New York City, New York to the late Frank E. Rowan and Christina Bieg Rowan.

He retired from the U.S. Army where he flew helicopters in Vietnam and served 16 years in the U.S. Navy prior. He earned a Purple Heart and was a POW. He served during WW II, the Korean War and the Vietnam War.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Eilene Spellacy; and one infant son, Zachary Rowan.

He is survived by two sons, Frank Edwin Rowan III and wife, Cathy of Oakwood, Georgia; Zachary Rowan and wife, Elizabeth Ann of Redfield, Arkansas; five grandchildren, Travis Rowan and his wife, Spirit; Tiffany Amanda Tuck; Lucas Rowan and wife, Lacey; Jason Rowan and fiancée, Katie Sentner; Josh Rowan and wife, Carrie Anne; four great grandchildren, Rori Rowan, Liam Rowan, Lily Rowan and Davis Rowan; one brother, Paul Rowan and his wife, Sue of Branford, Connecticut and a host of other family and friends.

CW04 Rowan's cremains will be interred at Arlington National Cemetery at a later date.

She married Robert Phillip Spellacy in 1943 at Putnam, Windham County, Connecticut.1 Eileen Rowan died on 19 Jun 2009 at Hampton, Rockingham County, New Hampshire, at age 87.2

     HAMPTON — Eileen Spellacy Rowan, 87, died Friday, June 19, 2009.

She was a registered nurse and a 1944 graduate of Hartford Hospital School of Nursing, Hartford, Conn.

Mrs. Rowan was a school nurse in Hampton.

She was raised in New York City and Pomfret, Conn., moving to Hampton in 1954.

She was an equestrian, tended her parents' general store and ice cream shop and created loving memories with her grandmother, Ella Benson, while living in Pomfret.

She was a homemaker and mother of four daughters. She participated in 4-H and Pony Clubs, was an accomplished cook, an organic gardener and an avid skier, swimmer and tennis player. She enjoyed sewing and needle arts, board and card games, loved the beach and the family camp in Otis, Maine.

The family wishes to extend their heartfelt appreciation to the staff of Oceanside Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Francour wing whose attentive care and love was felt every day. They also acknowledge the support of Allegiance Hospice.

SERVICES: The family will receive friends Friday, June 26, from 1 to 2 p.m. in the First Congregational Church, 127 Winnacunnet Road, Hampton. A memorial service will follow at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Deborah Knowlton, pastor, officiating. Jay Halloran will be the soloist.

A celebration of her life will be held from 3 to 5:30 p.m. at the Pelican Club, Galley Hatch Restaurant, Hampton.

Flowers are acceptable and may be delivered to 143 Winnacunnet Road, Hampton, c/o June Bean, or memorial donations may be made to the New Hampshire S.P.C.A., P.O. Box 196, Stratham, NH 03885.
