on Thursday & had to t ell them of his recent experiences in France
&c. He said they talked to him for 8 minutes. Th e Queen soon put him

Was in the Lofoten raids at Xmas 1941, and was on the Direction Bridge
during the action. 1942-07-10 at Alexandria, assumed to have been at
the battle of the Convoys (Sidney Beck's Mass- Observation diary).
