Note: in the list that follows, in general they
name only the head of household. In some cases where a birth or
death occurred that year it is also indicated, but the names are
generally not given. Where totals only are given, these are
broken down by category without names, for example, male, female,
freedmen, voters, land-owners, slaves, etc. Some of the early
years were done by the Spanish government. All of these records
are on microfilm at the MS
Department of Archives and History, some have been published
elsewhere. Many of these may also be available by loan through
the LDS Family History Centers.
