These pages are dedicated to my Grandmother Edna Margaret Dusing Wakenight. My grandma was a very loving,
careing, and giving person. She was a strong Christian, and loved to teach her grandchildren about God. I will be
adding to this page as I can. I have several stories and loving memories of my grandma that I would love to share. I
have chose these graphics, because flowers were one of my grandma's favorite things. When us children were younger she always had a colorful garden outside the window. I have so many fond memories of helping her with this.

Grandma was born June 17th, 1914 in Oregon, IL to Harry Wakenight and Margaret Louise Hill. She died
June 24th 1994 in Dixon, IL. She is buried in Chapel Hill Memorial Park in Dixon, IL. Margaret (Maggie) Hill Wakenight,
died in the flu epidemic of 1918, when grandma was about 4. She then went to live with Annie Hill Slifer,
Maggie's Sister. She lived there for about 7 years when Annie died. Grandma then went to live with
Clarence and Ellie McKim. Grandma stayed with the Mckim's until going to Chicago in her teens, then came back to
live with the Snyder's.

Farm near Oregon that Grandma first when to work for grandpa on
Grandma told me the story how she had lived with Stanley Dusing to help him care for the house and
children after the passing of his wife in 1937. Grandma started working for him on Nov. 14, 1938. One night awhile after
Stanley's wife had passed away Stanley had asked Edna not to out on her date and stay with him instead. They were married
in 1951 and had my mother Margaret Dusing in 1953.
