    THE WILL OF REES PROSSER, YEOMAN, of the PARISH OF MERTHYR CYNOG, BRECONSHIRE
 
In the Name of God, Amen. I Rees Prosser of the Parish of Merthyr Cynog in the County of Brecon Yeoman, being infirm in Body but of sound understanding and memory, do make and ordain this my last will and Testament, that is to say, I recommend my soul unto the Hands of Almighty God who gave it and my body I recommend to the Earth, to be buried at the Discretion of my Executrix herein after named, and as for such worldly effects as it has pleased God to bless me with I dispose of the same in manner following. 
I give and bequeath unto my son Charles ten Pounds, to be paid him one year after my decease. Also I give and bequeath to my daughter Elizabeth the sum of  five Pounds to be paid her when she arrives to the age of one and twenty and likewise I give her six Pewter Dishes with so many Pewter Plates; a chest with a certain number of linnens one Bed two blankets and ring to be delivered her immediately after my decease. Also I give and bequeath to my son Rees fifteen Pounds to be paid to him in the following Manner Viz five pounds when he is arrived at the age of eighteen years, another five Pounds when arrived at the age of twenty years and the last five Pounds at the Age of one and twenty. Also, I give and bequeath unto my said sons, Charles and Rees all the sheep of the iskir Mark to be equally divided betwixt `em immediately after my Decease. Also I give and bequeath to my sons John Benjamin, Samuel and , Joshua, in cause of their Mother `s marrying again the sum of eighty Pounds, to be equally divided betwixt `em, to be either paid or sufficiently secured for, upon the said Marriage and to be managed by my 
sons William and Charles aforesaid, till the said John Benjamin Samuel & Joshua be one and twenty years of age each. 
And my Will and meaning is that the said eighty Pounds is to be paid to my said sons John Benjamin Samuel and Joshua without Deduction for cloathing or maintenance. All the Remainder of my Effects I bequeath to Elizabeth my Dearly beloved Wife, whom I likewise appoint sole Executrix of this my last will and Testament. 
   In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this sixteenth Day of January one thousand , seven hundred and sixty Nine. I revoke all former Wills and Testame nts and ordain this to be my last Will and Testament. 
Signed sealed published and promised by the said Rees Prosser as his last Will and Testament in the presence of us, who in his presence and the presence of each other have hereunto subscribed our names
