Levi T. Strader was born about 1845 to Levi Strader and Margaret Martin.

On February 20, 1864, Levi enlisted to serve during the Civil War for a period of three years. He was only 18 years old when he mustered into Company A of the 60th Ohio Volunteer Infantry as a Sergeant. It is interesting to note that Levi T. Strader also had a cousin, Levi C. Strader. Levi C. Strader mustered into the same Company, but as a Corporal and died at Weldon Railroad, Virginia. Levi T. Strader mustered out with his Company on July 28, 1865.

After the Civil War, Levi later went on to become the State Auditor of Ohio. Levi T. Strader died in 1907.
