Charlotte "Charley" Anderson

Charlotte Anderson was from Cleveland, Ohio and served with the 60th Ohio Volunteer Infantry. She disguised herself as a man and was known by the name of "Charley." The Company with which she served is unknown.
Charley was discovered to be a female on January 18, 1865 at City Point, Virginia. She was interviewed by Provost Marshal of the Army of the Potomac, General Marsena Patrick, and returned home to Cleveland four days later.
